Wampler Dracarys Distortion Pedal

Dracarys Distortion

Quick Overview:
A modern monster of gain - everything you love about high gain but with that contemporary depth, aggression, clarity and power to blow every other pedal away...

Description:
A modern monster of gain - everything you love about high gain but with that contemporary depth, aggression, clarity and power to blow every other pedal away...

Even since the release of the Triple Wreck in 2008, Brian has been wanting to make a more modern version of the gain, a more contemporary tone designed for modern high gain players. The trouble is, it kept changing - moving - developing.

Recently, a style of tones has come forward that has been devastating in not only the power of the gain, but the depth and clarity it provides to the player. Long gone are the doom laden distortions that destroyed the guitars tone and dominated mid ranges, now it's all about the clarity, articulation, face melting, fire breathing distortion that will bring a wall of sound from your amp.

With the now famous Wampler 3 band active EQ to sculpt the tone perfectly, also included is a gain switch giving you two different styles of distortion. Open - is, as you might guess, extremely open and free - minimal compression with maximum tone. Tight brings in a natural compression, like a tube amp being driven to the very edge... the great thing about the tight is that when on a lower gain setting it can do a really good lower gain tone as well, this setting makes the Dracarys one of the most versatile modern distortions available today. There is no waste with this pedal, all tones are useable and easily available.

Wampler Faux Tape Echo v2 Pedal

Faux Tape Echo v2

Quick Overview:
Now in it’s second incarnation, the Faux Tape Echo v2 brings you everything you want from a standard delay pedal in the ultimate gig friendly package.

Description:
Now in it’s second incarnation, the Faux Tape Echo v2 brings you everything you want from a standard delay pedal in the ultimate gig friendly package.

Based on the hugely popular best seller of the previous models, the v2 offers the same purity of signal path, the same depth of tone on the repeats and most importantly, the addition of sub divisions on the tap tempo. With this, you can now have your delays come at ¼, 1/8, dotted 1/8 and triplet based on your tap tempo.

With our hybrid design (completely pure analog dry path with the digital delay layered on top) approach, you get the best of both worlds. You get the note clarity, much lower noise, and longer delay times from digital delays... You also get the lovely warmth and little exquisite touches that are usually reserved for analog delays. Nearly every part of the pedal, all of its major functions, are analog. The “delay line” is the only digital part of the signal path. It alone being digital brings clarity and focus to the task in a way that analog delay line chips can’t really match.

But everything else, all the absolutely vital filtering to carefully finish the sound is pure analog. Every aspect of the modulation that gives the Faux Tape Echo pedal a unique function and tone and makes it desirable for people who want their delay tone to sound as good as tape delay units but without all the maintenance, supplies, and hassle. Your all-important fundamental dry tone is 100% analog, too.

So when we say it’s the best of both worlds, we absolutely mean it. From country slap-back to ambient washes to straight-ahead rock and metal delay, the hybrid approach lets Brian make one pedal that can do it all.

The Faux Tape Echo takes everything great about the original, and adds to it that much-requested tap tempo with sub-division functionality that users have been asking for, as well as our well known emulation of the elusive and beautiful character that people look for in classic tape echo units.

Velvet Fuzz

Quick Overview:
With all the character, power, and tone of a classic fuzz – the Velvet offers all this AND the option to tame the beast and bring it back under control.

Description:
With all the character, power, and tone of a classic fuzz – the Velvet offers all this AND the option to tame the beast and bring it back under control.

Looking back through history of great fuzz tone, there have been some truly outstanding examples - in particular, the tones that have been achieved by running a fuzz into a screaming stack. The kind of tones that are just earth shattering in their depth, aggression and smoothness.

We took the base tones from a very famous Wampler Pedal (one that has the characteristics of a famous stacked, EL34 driven, amp) and decided this was the best foundation to build the perfect fuzz and deliver it in a unit that sounds as good as it feels powerful.

With two completely different clipping options (not just the basic silicon or germanium option like most) you can achieve those classic fuzz big tones that compresses massively across the bottom or you can tighten them up and have it respond more like a distortion. With this you get all of the tone with none of the side effects. Some people say it sounds like a fuzz but feels like a distortion, so yes, you CAN have the best of both worlds.

If you are a fan of the tones of the players like David Gilmour or Eric Johnson (and let’s face it, who isn’t), then it could be that the Velvet Fuzz is the pedal you are looking for. Welcome to a new world of thick as a brick, wall crumbling and window shattering fuzz. Velvet Fuzz.

Wampler Sovereign Distortion Pedal

Sovereign Distortion

Quick Overview:
Designed to give your tone the punch and clarity missing from many distortion pedals, the Sovereign brings you a huge range of tones through your amp.

Product Description:
To a discerning and devoted league of tone chasers, Brian Wampler is The King when it comes to organic, convincing and inspiring dirt tones. Thus we thought it only fitting to name Brian’s latest pedal – a simple Distortion pedal – The Sovereign.

A little presumptuous, you might say? No, we think this is a pedal that lives up to its name. Oh, yes. From cream to ream; thrash to powder puff; hellacious burn to heavenly soothe; The Sovereign will do it for you. Truly.

You see, Brian was asked by a very convincing and influential client (whom we shall name later) to make, a “simple distortion pedal”. Let’s think for a moment about the amazing “distortion” pedals Brian has already given us: The Plexi series, the SLOstortion, The ubiquitous Pinnacle and others. How could he top those? They’re already regarded as the best in their respective fields.

Well, folks, for starters, The Sovereign does not allude to be another (with all due respect) A.I.A.B (amp-in-a-box, for the uninitiated). No, no, no. This beast has its own thing going on. It has a mid control that is admittedly borrowed from other great Wampler pedals like The Pinnacle, but this one is refined, less fussy and instantly gratifying over the full range of its sweep. Seriously rich mids are to be found here, able to cut through the din of the bass and drums in an instant. Smooth, creamy highs – think: stainless steel wings on your soaring solos – are a mere flick of a toggle away. The bottom end is tight but with just the right amount of sag to simulate a good tube amp going into orgasmic throes of heat. Yeah, baby.

We think you will love this pedal!

Technical:

  • Handbuilt in the U.S.A.
  • High grade film capacitors and resistors picked for their superior sound and response
  • Completely true bypass
  • Battery connection and 9v power jack (barrel plug like Boss)
  • Power draw: 9mA
  • High gain, crunchy and dynamic pedal
  • Extremely tweakable EQ
  • Advanced Gain Structure, amazing array of sounds.
  • 2.5″ x 4.5″ x 1.5″ (63.5mm x 114.3mm x 38.1mm) – height excludes knobs and switches

Quick Overview
A more aggressive and edgy British stack tone, bringing you the citrus power and tone to your amp…

Description:
A more aggressive and edgy British stack tone, bringing you the citrus power and tone to your amp…

We wanted to make a pedal that could faithfully reproduce the tones of a specific citrus colored, British amp made famous by artists like Jimmy Page, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, and Slipknot… A distinctive tone that stands out in terms of power, width and dirt. After spending countless hours tweaking the circuit and testing it against many tones from those great amps, we were able to produce the one pedal that captures that attitude – the cataPulp.

The cataPulp’s gain structure truly represents what every great amp in a box (AIAB) should be – with super clean tones that get increasingly dirtier after the “12 o’clock” setting; it allows you to cover a lot of ground between those classic rock inspired tones all the way to a thick syrupy metal territory – You can use this pedal as a tone shaper or a secondary gain stage – as always with a Wampler, it’s a truly versatile tonal workhorse! The cataPulp also features an active 3 band EQ that will allow you to tweak and control your tone perfectly.

The cataPulp can provide you with everything from pristine cleans to the edgy, aggressive, grittier side of British distortion. It’s time to stand back and let your tone do the fighting.

Clarksdale Delta

Quick Overview:
There are some overdrives that truly deserve to be called “legendary”. One of them, without doubt, is the green stomp that drove many guitar tones straight into that sweet spot.

Descriptions:
There are some overdrives that truly deserve to be called “legendary”. One of them, without doubt, is the green stomp that drove many guitar tones straight into that sweet spot.

At the crossroads of Highway 61 and Junction 49 lies the official crossroads of Clarksdale, Mississippi – the birthplace of the Delta Blues. This historic town, and the famous music that was created there, is responsible for the inspiration behind this pedal – The Clarksdale Overdrive.

Blues and non-blues guitar players have used Tube Screamer® type circuits for years to help them create their personal signature sound. Over the years, countless players have been asking Brian to create that world famous vintage mid-range overdrive – well he finally did it!

The Clarksdale is our take on that world famous lime green overdrive many of us have come to love– with a few great Wampler styled improvements of course. The world of boutique pedals is filled with lots of great clones of that already famous circuit– so what else could be done?

We wanted to create a pedal that would be true to the sound and feel of the original but would have a wider range of tonal options – to satisfy even the biggest tone chasers out there. The addition of a 3 band EQ (Bass, Mids are active, and the Treble is similar to the classic TS tone pot) it allows a player to have a more tailored tonal pallet than the original. The Lift/ Smooth switch will also allow a player to either sit in the mix with the Smooth setting or allow your leads to standout with the Lift option. Also unlike the original “green giant” the Clarksdale will not “fizz out” as much at low or high gain settings.

The Clarksdale has one foot in the past and one foot firmly planted in the future. Your search for the perfect vintage midrange infused overdrive is finally over.

Technical :

  • Built in the U.S.A
  • Relay true bypass with soft switch
  • Top mounted input and output jacks
  • Battery connection and 9v power jack
  • Power draw: Between 17mA (9v) and 28mA (18v)
  • Controls: Volume, Gain, Bass, Mid’s, Treble, Smooth / Big
  • Voicing options: Smooth/Big changes the tonality and gain structure, adding more dynamics to your tone
  • 2.5″ x 4.5″ x 1.5″ in size (63.5mm x 114.3mm x 38.1mm) – height excludes knobs and switches

Hot Wired v2

Quick Overview
The Brent Mason Hot Wired v2. The only pedal versatile enough to be taken into the world's most demanding studio environment every day… Nashville master sessions.

Description:
The Brent Mason Hot Wired v2. The only pedal versatile enough to be taken into the world's most demanding studio environment every day… Nashville master sessions.

A lot of people think they’ve never heard of Brent Mason. We would bet that although they may not recognize the name, chances are huge that they have heard him. Brent is, without doubt, the number 1 session guitarist working out of Nashville and has been since the early 1990’s. Not only is he a legendary studio figure, but also a renowned composer and songwriter. His compositions have been used in countless films, TV shows and commercials. His solo albums, in particular “Hot Wired” (from which this pedal got its name) has become almost mythical in its reputation for guitar tone and quality of musicianship. With Brent, you will not believe it until you hear it.

Built on the foundations of the extremely popular v1, v2 stands alone in terms of versatility. The studio scene in Nashville has changed over the last few years, so we changed the Hot Wired to mirror the industry Brent works in. v1 was geared towards all out chickin’ pickin’ and beyond. Expanding on that, the v2 brings you a broader range of subtlety in channel 1. You can still find the chickin’ pickin’ tones, but you can also find a deeper, warmer overdrive section that will allow you to play as smooth as you like. With the added blend control, you won’t believe how fat your tone can be without it sounding too overdriven. Channel 2 still has the same “British Plexi” flavor that Brent loves.

Two pedals in one (overdrive and distortion), the Hot Wired is without doubt one of the most versatile pedals available today. One channel of the Hot Wired has all your overdrive needs, from a gentle break up to all out crunch, the other gives you dirt… Loads of fat, creamy distortion that is tonally perfect from top to bottom. If need be you can stack them both together for a huge, huge sound.

Technical:

  • Built in the U.S.A.
  • High grade components picked for their superior sound and response

Wampler Ego Compressor Pedal

Ego Compressor

Quick Overview:
Now widely regarded as the industry standard in guitar pedal compression, the Ego Compressor brings a new level of of control to what is expected and needed by today's guitar players.

Description:
Now widely regarded as the industry standard in guitar pedal compression, the Ego Compressor brings a new level of of control to what is expected and needed by today's guitar players.

What does a compressor do? A compressor adds an element of control to your playing level – it will bring the quieter parts up and the louder parts down. While an ordinary compressor pedal can give you an element of control, a great compressor will give you the “feel” that other average compressors lack. If you’ve played a great tube amp when it’s being pushed hard, you’ll know what a great natural compression feels like.

When we designed this pedal, the focus was ensuring the playing dynamics could be retained and that the compressor didn’t color the tone at all. By incorporating a clean blend, it allows your original signal to be blended back in so you can get all the benefits of a great compressor (picking up the notes that aren’t as strong and increasing sustain) but have the option to remove the squash at the front. With this control, you can have full country squash or open studio level parallel compression.

So, with a comprehensive array of controls and a core tone that is pure, you won’t find a compressor that works as perfectly as an “always on” or as “an effect” and is more highly regarded than the Ego Compressor from Wampler Pedals.

Technical:

  • Built in the U.S.A

Quick Overview:
Since the early 60’s, Marshall Amplifiers® have lead the way in rock tones with its legendary tight overdrive and coveted bass response. Early rock legends such as: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, and AC/DC helped lead the way in creating some of the most iconic rock tones ever produced and catapulted Marshall Amplifiers® into the icon of rock tone.

Description:
Since the early 60’s, Marshall Amplifiers® have lead the way in rock tones with its legendary tight overdrive and coveted bass response. Early rock legends such as: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, and AC/DC helped lead the way in creating some of the most iconic rock tones ever produced and catapulted Marshall Amplifiers® into the icon of rock tone.

With these huge influential musicians and tones in mind, we sat down and designed a pedal that could help tone chasers produce the same guitar tones as those rock heroes.

The Plexi-Drive’s unique gain structure is capable of running the tonal rock gamut. From bluesy style 18-watt Marshall tones to the all out massive rock tones of a JTM-45® cranked to ten (preferably 11), the Plexi-Drive can handle it all with ease. Along with the volume, gain and perfectly placed tone control, the additional bass boost option allows the player to emulate the feeling of the low-end thump of having a 4×12” cabinet (or two) at the flick of a switch. This becomes really useful when playing at lower volumes.

To this day, the Plexi-Drive is still one of our favorite pedals and is never far from Brian’s personal pedalboard. For a man who is said to be never satisfied with his tone, the Plexi-Drive has stayed with him throughout and is still inspiring him year after year.

Your search for the perfect simple M.I.A.B. (Marshall® in a Box) can finally be over. The Plexi-Drive will give you the crunch, response, and feeling that your rig begs for. Whether you are playing sold out shows or rocking out by yourself – the Plexi-Drive will inspire you to create your own flavor of rock!
