Overview:
The ultra compact MAUI 5 weighs in at about 11 kg while delivering 800 watts of peak power and a maximum SPL of 120 dB. Providing both sound reinforcement with extended coverage and feedback resistant monitoring the subwoofer base and 3-piece column system assembles in seconds with custom multipin connectors. The junior member of the MAUI family is most easily portable and fits onto any car seat.
The vented 8" subwoofer also houses the system's Class D amplification with overcurrent, short circuit and thermal protection, LD Systems' proprietary LECC digital processing and a 4-channel mixer. Featuring Bluetooth technology for wireless streaming and microphone, line level and hi-Z inputs which can be used simultaneously the MAUI 5 lets you connect a wide variety of sources including music players and instruments such as keyboards or guitars. Overview:
The CURV 500® Entertainer Set consists of a high-performance 10" bass reflex subwoofer and an easily configurable array system with four satellites. Featuring a power of 460 watts RMS and a maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB, the CURV 500® ES Set is the ideal sound system for small events or conferences and meetings.
The compact, transport-friendly CURV 500® is an array system with 4 interlocking satellites, which are operated via a SmartLink® adapter. The elements, only 12 x 12 cm in size, are equipped with LD System's own WaveAhead® technology. One 4" and three 1" drivers provide a coherent and extremely detailed playback with high pressure and dynamics.
The 10" bass-reflex subwoofer houses the Class D power amplifier and includes a limiter, protection against short circuit, overheating, over-voltage, as well as a 4-channel mixer with 16 digital effect presets and Bluetooth®. Combo, and Speakon- compatible sockets offer extensive connectivity options, and the subwoofer features four digital system presets, an M20 threaded flange and three ergonomic carrying handles.
The Entertainer Set can be operated in stereo mode with a total of eight array satellites (max. four on each side). This variant is particularly useful in voice applications, where bass playback is not in the foreground. Speakers or moderators especially appreciate the clarity, transparency and typical benefits of array systems. Overview:
Should an existing CURV 500® Entertainer Set need to be upgraded because, for example, more power is required in the bass range, the Power Extension Set is the right choice. The portable array system then turns into a Power Set. Visually aligned with the award-winning CURV 500® design, the Extension set includes an Extension Subwoofer, four array satellites, a SmartLink® Adapter, a distance bar and speaker cable, but comes without a mixer. 300 watts RMS and 1200 watts peak for the bass reproduction provide for substantial punch in the bass range. The four satellites rely on a power amplifier with 160 watts RMS or 640 watts Peak. The Class D power amplifiers with switching power supply provide the necessary power.
The four satellites are operated via SmartLink® adapters. The elements, only 12 x 12 cm in size, are equipped with LD System's own WaveAhead® technology; one 4" and three 1" drivers provide a coherent and extremely detailed playback with high pressure and dynamics.
The 10-inch woofer resides in a black bass-reflex cabinet made of plywood. The 325 x 383 x 491 mm large cabinet with PA-protective coating weighs 16.5 kg and can be easily transported by means of three ergonomically shaped handles. In addition to a DSP-based multiband limiter, protection circuits prevent short-circuits, overheating or overloading and ensure safe operation. The humming noises caused by variations in the earthing potentials can be avoided with the ground lift function. The M20 threaded flange on the subwoofer gives a firm hold to the adjustable distnace bar and the locking mechanism secures the array satellites against unwanted turning. The system cabling is carried out with the five-pin XLR input; an additional subwoofer can also be connected to the five-pin XLR output socket.
