Our Perspective:
Custom Spec'd by George's Music Center! This trans-blonde over a swamp ash body paired with a lightly tint satin neck/fingerboard is just 1950's CLASS!! Light-weight and very resonant this Legacy is a tone machine! We love the figured swamp ash showing through the trans-blonde finish and the 4-ply tortoise shell pickguard and black accoutrements makes this one gorgeous Legacy!

The G&L Legacy HSS fattens things up with a G&L AW4370 alnico bridge humbucker to complement the vintage alnico G&L CLF-100 single coils in the neck and middle positions. Masterminded by G&L VP Engineering Paul Gagon, the Legacy HSS has that ideal balance that’ll let it play well in a variety of settings, and its splittable bridge humbucker will does a convincing job as a single coil with rich, ringing harmonics.

The Legacy HSS brings all of the Legacy features, starting with Leo’s PTB™ (Passive Treble and Bass) system which functions on all three pickups for dramatically more variety than the vintage setup, while the volume pot has a push/pull coil-split for the bridge humbucker. What’s more, the Legacy HSS features a Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. The Legacy HSS's hard-rock maple neck features an easy-playing satin finish, comfortable 9 1/2" radius and Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets for silky playability. Legacy HSS

Our Perspective:
This guitar was spec’d by George’s Music Center for the guitarist that wants to kick some A** in the mix! The alder body and maple fingerboard gives the right amount cut but with plenty of round fat tone! We chose to go with the Duncan JB TB4 humbucker as its so familiar to so many of us! This guitar will not disappoint!

Legacy HSS

Our Perspective:
OK, this guitar was custom spec'd by George's Music Center to invoke the emotion for a 1950's S-Style guitar. Think Buddy Holly to Buddy Guy and then some. The alder body, maple neck and fingerboard have all the ass any guitar player is looking for, but now add the HSS configuration mounted into a single-ply white fingerboard, just to keep the authentic 50's theme going and you might call this a sleeper!! This is not exactly your Fathers guitar! The tone of this guitar goes from classic 50's to modern high-gain and the playability is all performance! With its 9.5" radius, medium-jumbo frets and classic neck profile, all players will feel right at home on this Modern Classic!!

G&L LB-100 Bass Swamp Ash Blonde - USA

$1599.99 $2286.00

image

LB-100

Our Perspective:

This LB-100 Bass was custom spec'd by George's Music Center. The swamp ash body coupled with a rosewood fingerboard makes this a kicking P-Style Bass. Full, fat, punchy lows with sparkling highs and pleasing mids.  This bass is super light weighing in at just 9.1 LBS.

Weighing in at: 9.1 LBS.

Overview:
The Return of the LB-100

  • The G&L LB-100 made its debut twenty years ago in response to bassists asking for a subtle evolution of the p-style platform. With a slightly streamlined body shape for improved comfort and balance, the LB-100 also brought the G&L Saddle Lock bridge for richer note definition and sustain. In the late ‘90s tastes were changing and the popularity of the p-style platform waned, and the LB-100 was discontinued.
  • In those years the G&L LB-100 earned legions of avid fans, among them Garry Beers of INXS. According to Garry:
  • “I’ve been a diehard Precision Bass fan since I was a kid, and as my career took off with INXS I was fortunate to be able to collect some amazing examples made in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Of course, there’s my number one Fender, a 1958 p-bass which I dearly love. However, the truth is the best p-type basses I’ve played are my G&L LB-100s. The shape, feel, and tone are just superb. I’m excited to see the LB-100 return after all these years.” – Garry Beers of INXS
  • While the tone remains unchanged, thanks to a faithful recreation of the original LB-100 Alnico V pickup wound in-house at G&L, playability is enhanced with Plek fret processing making this LB-100 the best yet.
  • Made in Leo Fender’s historic G&L facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California, the LB-100 is now available with a wide range of custom options including body and neck woods, body and neck finishes, neck profiles and pickguard materials.

Our Perspective:
This semi-hollow Bluesboy is an exceptional guitar, playability, looks, feel and most importantly - Tone! This guitar will not disappoint!!

Weighing in at: 7.33 LBS.

Overview:
The G&L ASAT® Classic Bluesboy™ is a factory-modded version of Leo’s final word on the traditional single-cutaway bolt-on axe, and the semi-hollow version takes it further with G&L’s distinctive twin voice chambers and f-hole added to a beautiful swamp ash body.. For players looking for the unmistakable warmth of a classic humbucker in the neck position, the Bluesboy delivers with a well-balanced pairing of a G&L A2S4248N Alnico II magnet humbucker and a single-coil G&L Magnetic Field Design™ bridge pickup designed by Leo Fender†. Framed in a classic boxed-steel bridge, the single-coil MFD™ bridge pickup delivers crisp attack with complex harmonics while individual brass saddles offer modern levels of intonation refinement. Flip to the neck ‘bucker and you’ll discover all the charismatic warmth you could ask for. Put ‘em together and you’ll find yourself immersed in exploring the limits of this guitar’s surprising versatility. The semi-hollow body brings a certain “hi-fi” quality to the tone, softening the attack and slightly scooping the mids for accentuated highs and lows.

ASAT Classic Bluesboy

Our Perspective:
This Bluesboy was custom spec'd by George's Music Center to capture the excitement of a slightly modified T-Style guitar of the 60's. But of course we kept the playability of a modern day guitar. It sports a 9.5" radius and medium-jumbo frets and a great neck profile. The pick-ups are a perfect marriage, a G&L ASAT bridge pick-up and a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover mounted in a "Green Guard"…another 60's appointment!! The 3-Tone Sunburst finish, green-guard, White binding and rosewood fingerboard is a combination that will inspire just about any fan of the T-Style guitar.

Tribute COMANCHE

Gloss Black over mahogany body, 3-ply black pickguard, clear satin neck finish with gloss black headstock, rosewood fingerboard

The G&L Comanche® is Leo’s final word on the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on axe. Fact is, the first thing you’ll notice about the Comanche is the distinctive shape of the Magnetic Field Design™ Z-Coil™ pickups designed by Leo Fender himself. These pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end while offering a robust bottom end, all without any 60-cycle hum.

You’ll find plenty of power in the Z-coil pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls, the latter a part of the Comanche’s PTB™ (Passive Treble and Bass) system. What’s more, the Tribute® Series Comanche includes an expander switch on the treble pot to allow neck+bridge or all three pickups together. In a pinch, the neck+bridge combo does a convincing faux ASAT® Special. Talk about versatile!

The new G&L Tribute Series Comanche features one of Leo’s favorite pairings: the power of MFD pickups mellowed by the high porosity of a mahogany body. Making the most of this delicious combo is Leo’s Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm.

The Comanche was the very last double-cutaway bolt-on guitar designed by Leo Fender, the culmination of everything he had learned during his amazing lifetime. And now, it’s available at a price within reach of every working musician. Once you play a G&L Tribute Series, you’ll never look back.

ASAT Deluxe II:

Gorgeous Tones and Looks To Match.

G&L ASATs: Great players have been workin’ ‘em and G&L’s been moddin’ ‘em for nearly 30 years. Ash, Alder, Mahogany, Korina … solid and semi-hollow … MFD and Alnico single-coils, humbuckers, P90s … two-pickup, three-pickup – you get the point: the ASAT’s a tone machine, and now G&L’s Tribute Series has grown with the tweaked-for-tone ASAT Junior II.

The ASAT Deluxe II sports two G&L alnico humbuckers straight from the award-winning ASAT Deluxe Carved Top, complete with push/pull coil tap to wring out every last drop of tone.

The Deluxe II features an easy-playing, medium-C profile neck with 12” radius and 1 5/8” nut width for a classic ASAT feel that greets the hand like an old friend. Add on Tone-Pros bridge/tailpiece hardware, delicious Irish Ale-finished Mahogany body and Hard Rock Maple neck with Rosewood board and you’ve got one versatile ASAT that effortlessly covers a wide range of sonic territory.

The Deluxe II has popped up before in short-run Custom Creations models made at G&L’s Fullerton, California shop, but this is the first time it's been this widely available. On top of that, it's part of G&L’s Tribute Series, which has been garnering rave reviews for more than a decade thanks to its solid combination of tone, quality and value.

Yet again the ASAT has proven that versatility is deep in its DNA.
